Sodium Chloride 0.9% intravenous infusion is an isotonic solution, with an approximate osmolarity of 308 m sm/l. The pharmacodynamic properties of the solution are those of the sodium and chloride ions in maintaining the fluid and electrolyte balance.
This solution is used to supply water and salt (sodium chloride) to the body.

Contraindications:
The solution is contraindicated in patients presenting hypernatraemia or hyperchloraemia.
